Just as critics say wealth taxes failed elsewhere, the same applies to the ones we already have: while living standards slip and assets are hoarded by a few, current wealth taxes plainly aren't going far enough. Many are riddled with caveats and loopholes that let the wealthy keep avoiding paying back into the systems that enabled their success.
